Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born August 8, 1989, in Paris. When she was a kid she was enrolled in the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma always had the desire to be a professional actress since she was at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute with part-time courses. When she was 10, Emma had taken part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The movie adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for the first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. After eight consistent auditions director David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast to play the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance on the big screen took place in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. The highest-grossing movie of 2001, the film set records for its opening day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film as well as the performances by the three young actors. The widely distributed British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma received five awards in recognition of her work in the film.
