Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in music in the Latin mainstream. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca is one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album the following year. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. In interviews, he described music participation as mandatory. While a boy, he studied the saxophone and guitar. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with a Cuban singer, he altered his goals for his future career.
