Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. She spent the majority of her early years listening to classic music Boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs and old classical pieces. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. In 2000, she relocated back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in traditional Latin American music at private performances. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
